It was a very lovely day and a great day to be sitting and sewing. But the day was not so sunny as we had learned that one of us, Helen Bowers, had passed away suddenly.
Helen was a beautiful person, had a wonderful sense of humour, incredible stories and her workmanship was stunning. We will miss her. On behalf of all of us and the Committee we would like to express our deepest sympathy to her family and friends.
Make sure every stitches counts .....

It was a shock for us and it very touching to read your post.
We’ll be having a celebration of Helen’s life and you are all very welcome,
on Monday 9th November,
at 1pm,
location, we thought very fitting, the Eltham Community and Reception Centre.
As I am sure you are aware, mum as a member of NOTYQ, displayed some of her beautiful work which encompassed appliqué at their annual shows.
