We have had several requests from members wanting to learn how to do different techniques for they would like to try them but don’t know how or where to start and what some of the terms mean. After discussion at a recent Committee Meeting, we decided to hold a Techniques Workshop.
The workshop will be conducted on June 5th, 2021 at the Holy Cross Retreat Centre in Templestowe VIC 3106.
Check out the workshop flyer for more details.
The Holy Cross Retreat Centre also offers morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and B&B type accommodation for your convenience. Morning and afternoon tea is catered by the Guild. Check out the Application form for further details and associated costs. To receive accommodation at these prices bookings must be via the Guild.
The techniques available at the workshop will be discussed and demonstrated by our four tutors, Michelle Yeo for Broderie Perse Applique, Sue Cheney for Machine Applique, Wendy Blyth for Needleturn Applique and Maureen Mackie for Back Basting Applique.
You may also participate in half day sessions with the tutors. Please ensure your requirements are clearly marked on the application form.
We do hope the techniques are instructive and that we all return with some new skills. The Committee looks forward to seeing you there.
