🙂 I am working on a large quilt for a friend who asked me to make her a quilt. She chose the one on the cover of Quilts from the Smithsonian and it is 96" square. Have got the top together and am basting it at the moment. Moira Bruce

Wow, Moira that's gorgeous. I look forward to seeing it at a show and tell. Or will you gave it done for Jeff's Shed?
I have that book too, one of my faves

Moira your quilt is stunning. Love it. Your friend is one very lucky girl.
Wished I could have been at the meeting.
Cheers

I hope to have it finished for Quilt Showcase but only time will tell. My friend is quite happy for me to put it in to the show so I will have at least one (hopefully) item for the year. Sorry I couldn't be at the meeting on Saturday but I ate something to which I was highly allergic AGAIN. Don't know what it was but I was really sick on Friday night!! Hope to catch up soon. Moira

Wow, this quilt is looking amazing. I have in the past been a machine piecer and have only turned to applique in the last 3 years.
I am a "stick and sew girl" and are quite happy doing this. The interesting thing is that years ago I saw a Baltimore quilt and feel in love with patchwork and have yet to do one. Is your beautiful quilt needle turn? I think you have done something that I will have to aspire to.
Cheers Sue Cheney
p.s. this is the first time I have done the blog thing-it is quite neat!!!!!
